Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a type of therapy that helps your brain process and heal from trauma, stress, or painful memories that feel stuck, so they become less upsetting and don’t affect you as much anymore. It’s kind of like helping your brain "digest" a bad experience that got stuck.

There are many types and schools of psychotherapy, also known as talk therapy. They all help you understand your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors; offer a safe space to explore what’s going on inside; and support you in working through what might be holding you back—so you can feel better and live a more balanced life.

TAPPING THERAPY

Emotional Freedom Techniques, also known as Tapping Therapy, are gentle, body-mind techniques that help reduce stress, anxiety, and emotional pain, including traumatic memories. It involves tapping on specific points on your body, which can help calm your nervous system, shift negative emotions, and bring relief. Think of it as a mix between talking through your feelings and activating calming points on your body—helping you feel more balanced and at ease.

Drawing from my training in psychiatry, trauma therapy, and various psychotherapeutic approaches, I tailor our work to suit your individual journey. If you have a preferred approach, we can absolutely work with that. But if you're unsure—that's perfectly okay. You don’t need to figure it all out before we begin.

Hello, I’m Dr. Wojciech Greg Gierynski.

I’m a Consultant Psychiatrist, Psychotherapist, and EMDR-trained therapist with over two decades of experience supporting individuals through meaningful personal change. My work is grounded in a compassionate, humanistic approach that draws from a broad range of therapeutic modalities to meet each person where they are.

My training includes:

  • EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) – Accredited Advanced Practitioner (EFT International)

  • MBT (Mentalisation-Based Therapy) – BPC Accredited Practitioner

  • NLP (Neurolinguistic Programming)

  •  Life Coaching – iPEC Certified Professional Coach and ELI Master Practitioner

  • Laughter Yoga and other holistic approaches

 

I’m also the founder and director of Life Joy Academy Ltd, where I integrate psychotherapy, coaching, and creative methods to support emotional healing and lasting transformation.
